Lucky Us!!!

We have been watching Brigham, My brother and sister-in-law's baby, since Serene has had to go back to work. He is so sweet and we love him so much. He has been helping us get ready for our own babe to come. Having him around definatly makes the time seem to go by a little bit faster.

The kids are so good with him. I am so glad they like having him around. They are such good helpers too! On the days he doesn't come over we all miss him so much.

What an Angel!!

Happy Birthday, Kaitlyn! I can't believe 7 years have gone by!

Kaitlyn turned 7 on August 28th. In honor of my little angel, I thought I would take a trip down memory lane.

These two pictures were taken when Kaitlyn was only 6 weeks old. She was such a beautiful baby and so strong and alert for her age. From the beginning Kaitlyn loved her daddy. Whether she was asleep or awake she would always hold on to him and make sure he was never to far away.

Kaitlyn's first birthday. Her first taste of Cake and ever since then cake and ice cream have always been one of her most favorite treats.

Kaitlyn asked her daddy to be Prince Charming on Halloween when she was three. Ryan was such a good sport. But then again how can you turn down a Princess.

Kaitlyn at 3 years old. Aunt Machelle did her hair like this when I was at school and I just had to take her to get her pictures it was just to cute, and so grown up.

Time for School, AGAIN!!

Bridger is now in Kindergarten. He is doing really well and loves to tell me all about the school work he brings home.


Kaitlyn is in First Grade. She is so adorable. Not only is she super smart, but she tries so hard to make friends with everyone and tries to make sure everyone at school is happy. Sometimes that stresses her out and she comes home a wreck. Sometimes she reminds me so much of myself. I hope she realizes how important it is to be happy herself and then everything else will fall into place. That is what we are working on right now. What a sweetheart she is. I know I say this all the time, but I am not quite sure were I would be without her.

I am not sure either one of them look super excited for school in this picture. It looks a little forced. Maybe that is because we have to get up at 6AM to get ready and practice piano before heading to school at 8AM. (Funny I never thought I would be the mom that made my kids wake up before morning light to practice piano, Crazy what kind of mother you become, before you even realize you have become that kind of mother. Oh well, they will thank me for it one day. Right?????)
Miss Caroline---First day of preschool. I think I had the hardest time sending her off to school. She just seems so tiny to be going. She loves it so much though. I took her today and I have never seen her more excited in her whole life. Her entire face just lit up with excitment. Ryan's aunt is her teacher and she is so wonderful. Every one of my kids have had the same reaction going to preschool. She is a great teacher.

The Atkinson Family Reunion

In August we went up to the property on the Provo River for the annual Atkinson Family Reunion. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday we went to church by Sundance. It was outdoors and it was beautiful. I wish I would have taken my camera with us that day. I guess there is always next time.

The had a bunch of fun things for the kids to do to stay entertained.

Kaitlyn, Bridger and Caroline all made thier own T-shirts.

Caroline had the most fun decorating cookies. She was so tired (as you could tell by the picture), but she just couldn't stop frosting and dumping sprinkles on the sugar cookies. I think she ended up making about a dozen cookies.

After a long afternoon of cake decorating, and t-shirt decorating. She curled up on grandma's lap and they both took a nice long nap. These pictures are priceless to me.

Thanksgiving Point Horse rides.

We went to Thanksgiving point with the neighbors. The kids favorite thing to do is go for a horse ride. This has been one of our favorite past times for years.





Emma- She lives a couple doors down from us. She is the same age as Caroline.
This is our next door neighbor, Easton. He and Bridger are very good buddies. They played together almost everyday this summer.

Our Neighbor

This is our neighbor Cori. Ryan teases him relentlessly. He mows his lawn with earplugs and saftey glasses every week. Ryan saw him doing this one day and just had to snap some pics.

In Cori's defense.... One day Ryan will be old, deaf, and blind in one eye and Cori -even though he will be old will probably still be able to hear and see.

Thanks for being a good sport, Cori. It is sure fun to have neighbors that keep us entertained.

Tough Little Dude!!

This picture breaks my heart. Bridger thinks it is cool, because it shows his bike riding wound. When I see it I feel so bad because you can see his tears under his eyes still. There is nothing I hate more than to see my kids get hurt. Even if it is just a scrape.

The Buzz Game

We went to a Buzz game with one of Ryan's customers. It was so much fun. We had box seats, so dinner and snacks were inside the suite and then we watched the game from the balcony. We even got a visit from the mascot. They kids had so much fun. Thanks again, Amy for watching Caroline for us.
