Carter's First Bath

Carter loved his bath so much he fell right to sleep. I think I am going to start bathing him at night-maybe we could get some sleep. I can't believe how relaxed he was the whole time. This could be an answer to my prayers--

He didn't even wake up when we were scrubbing his head or when we turned him around to wash his tummy.

What a precious babe. He is starting to get the Kaitlyn cheeks that I love so much. Yea!!
We took him in for his two week check up yesterday and he now weighs 8 pounds even. He gained all his birth weight back plus a pound. What a big boy!

SO GLAD HE IS HERE!!

I love this shirt on him. We are pretty proud of our daddy here at the Gear Household.
This is our new trick. I tell Carter to hold his binki in so it won't fall out. He is such a smart boy already.
Yep!!! Cool just like Daddy!!! I think he is tired of me taking pictures of him.
All worn out and ready to cuddle with his big Sister.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit and we got a few great pics of them with Carter.

Carter already has some good buddies. This is a picture of Carter and his cousin Brigham. This is Carter and another great buddy and neighbor who is also named Brigham. They were due on the same day and Brigham was born on September 29th. So they are only 2 days apart.

What a sweet little guy.

Carter Bradley Gear- Born Oct. 1, 2008

Our beautiful boy is finally here. We love him so much and are so happy to have him and his sweet spirit in our home. I look at my beautiful children and my wonderful husband and can't help but feel like the luckiest, most blessed person in the whole world. I have many reasons to thank my Heavenly Father for all that I have been given.

It's that time of year.....AGAIN

We canned about 5 dozen tomatos, 3 dozen peaches and 2 dozen pears this year. We were very blessed to get so much fruit this year. Thank you Grandpa Evans, Sherree, Anita and Pres. Royle.

My canning partner. I feel very lucky to have such a great husband that doesn't mind getting in there and helping me out. I don't think I could've done it this year without his help.

Caroline's Favorite Food

We got this giant tomato from our neighbor's. Caroline was so excited to eat it. She loves tomatos more than any other food she has ever had. She thinks it is candy.

And if the tomatos were not enough she wanted some pears too!!! In fact, she thought they tasted best if you eat them together. She is always giving us something to laugh about.

Lucky Us!!!

We have been watching Brigham, My brother and sister-in-law's baby, since Serene has had to go back to work. He is so sweet and we love him so much. He has been helping us get ready for our own babe to come. Having him around definatly makes the time seem to go by a little bit faster.

The kids are so good with him. I am so glad they like having him around. They are such good helpers too! On the days he doesn't come over we all miss him so much.

What an Angel!!

Happy Birthday, Kaitlyn! I can't believe 7 years have gone by!

Kaitlyn turned 7 on August 28th. In honor of my little angel, I thought I would take a trip down memory lane.

These two pictures were taken when Kaitlyn was only 6 weeks old. She was such a beautiful baby and so strong and alert for her age. From the beginning Kaitlyn loved her daddy. Whether she was asleep or awake she would always hold on to him and make sure he was never to far away.

Kaitlyn's first birthday. Her first taste of Cake and ever since then cake and ice cream have always been one of her most favorite treats.

Kaitlyn at 2 years old.

Kaitlyn asked her daddy to be Prince Charming on Halloween when she was three. Ryan was such a good sport. But then again how can you turn down a Princess.

Kaitlyn at 3 years old. Aunt Machelle did her hair like this when I was at school and I just had to take her to get her pictures it was just to cute, and so grown up.

Kaitlyn at 4 years old.
Kaitlyn at 5 years old.

Kaitlyn at 6 years old.

And finally, all grown up at 7 years old. What a beauty-inside and out.

Time for School, AGAIN!!

Bridger is now in Kindergarten. He is doing really well and loves to tell me all about the school work he brings home.

Kaitlyn is in First Grade. She is so adorable. Not only is she super smart, but she tries so hard to make friends with everyone and tries to make sure everyone at school is happy. Sometimes that stresses her out and she comes home a wreck. Sometimes she reminds me so much of myself. I hope she realizes how important it is to be happy herself and then everything else will fall into place. That is what we are working on right now. What a sweetheart she is. I know I say this all the time, but I am not quite sure were I would be without her.

I am not sure either one of them look super excited for school in this picture. It looks a little forced. Maybe that is because we have to get up at 6AM to get ready and practice piano before heading to school at 8AM. (Funny I never thought I would be the mom that made my kids wake up before morning light to practice piano, Crazy what kind of mother you become, before you even realize you have become that kind of mother. Oh well, they will thank me for it one day. Right?????)
Miss Caroline---First day of preschool. I think I had the hardest time sending her off to school. She just seems so tiny to be going. She loves it so much though. I took her today and I have never seen her more excited in her whole life. Her entire face just lit up with excitment. Ryan's aunt is her teacher and she is so wonderful. Every one of my kids have had the same reaction going to preschool. She is a great teacher.
